September 23 & 24. This comprehensive 2 day workshop is based on Bee’s many years of experience being a “soil life coach”. Bee has been improving the soil on her permaculture “Merri Bee Organic Farm” in Nannup for the past 30 years and loves to share the knowledge she has gained in doing so. Come along for an intensive hands-on primer on the wondrous world of soil.

Topics include:
The fundamentals of creating good soil biology
How to conduct a soil health check-up in your garden
How to team up with your soil microbes to produce more nutrient dense food from your garden
How to improve the water holding capacity of your soil and stop nutrient leaching
How to restore your soil food web
How to remediate toxic soil & remove harmful residues
How to deal with pests and diseases without chemicals
Worm farming – theory and practice
Making thermal compost – theory and practice (fungal dominate versus bacteria)
Aerobic compost teas – brewing them, assessing them (using a microscope) and using them
Success stories – past workshop participants share their local knowledge

Ticket includes morning and afternoon tea. Camping and other accommodation available if you would like to stay in our lovely town for the night.
