Join herbalist extraordinaire, Leesa Caldwell, from Greenhouse Organics as she explores the wonderful world of herbs and their uses.

Workshop 1: Crafting your own herbal bodycare products (10am -12pm)
In this morning workshop, Leesa demonstrates how to make a range of herbal bodycare products for yourself and your family. Learn the basics of how to make:
Face cleansers
Body oils
Bath bombs and creams
Lip Balms and Salves
Workshop includes notes and some take home products.

Workshop 2: Introduction to medicinal herbal remedies (1pm – 3pm)
In this afternoon workshop, Leesa will discuss how herbal remedies can improve the overall quality of your health. Topics include:

Major herbs/vegetables that support concentration and memory
The benefits and drawbacks of stimulants
The safe uses of the most important anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and analgesic herbs for specific body systems
Important but little known herbs for pain and inflammation
Important but little known herbs/vegetables for depression, anxiety and sleep
Growing and drying your own botanical medicine
Potential herb/drug interactions

Workshop includes notes and some take home products.

Morning and afternoon tea provided.
